Mississippi State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences will offer two new interdisciplinary programs beginning this Fall 2024. The programs include a graduate minor and post baccalaureate certificate in Global Affairs and Leadership. MSU students can enroll in these courses through Campus 1 (Starkville) and Campus 5 (Distance). The goal of both programs is to provide interested students with pathways to develop and enhance their leadership skills both nationally and globally. These programs will guide students to acquire specific knowledge and experiences to increase their global awareness, career competencies and workforce competitiveness. Furthermore, the programs will prepare students for positions in the public and private sectors related to international leadership and development. It will complement their major with skills and knowledge to lead across cultures.
In a globalized society, MSU graduates will interact and lead people from diverse cultures and nationalities regardless of where they work. These programs will pave the way for students’ competence on the global platform.
The graduate minor in Global Affairs and Leadership is open to any graduate student in good standing enrolled in a graduate degree program at the university. The post baccalaureate certificate in Global Affairs and Leadership is open to any student with a previously completed baccalaureate degree.
