Institute on Teaching and Mentoring, which will be held October 31-November 3 in New Orleans, is a four-day conference that has become the largest gathering of historically underrepresented doctoral scholars in the country, having served almost 23,000 attendees over 30 years. Now in its 31st year, the Institute gives the issue of graduate education and faculty diversity a national focus and provides underrepresented scholars with the strategies necessary to survive the rigors of graduate school, earn the doctoral degree and succeed as members of the professoriate or their chosen career path.
The cost of the one-day recruiting event is $200 per person. Attending the 1 p.m. award luncheon is optional.
Should you like to receive additional information regarding attending or sending guest scholars to either the one-day recruitment event on November 2, or all four days of the Institute, please contact our Institute Coordinator, Robert Puckett, at Institute.Coordinator@sreb.org for more information.
